This Farmhouse ale began life as a French-style saison that was co-fermented with Brettanomyces. The saison was then inoculated with a lactobacillus culture and racked into a mix of freshly emptied Pinot Gris, Riesling, and Rosé barrels from Alexana Vineyards. After six months of barrel time, the beer was finished on 400 pounds of peaches and then bottle conditioned. Mildy tart, the finished beer delivers bright flavors of wildflower meadows, ripe stone fruit, and pineapple-sour cherry cobbler. The beer finishes with a hint of curious funk.
